Courtyard by Marriott Montreal West Island/Baie D’Urfe

I hadn't stayed at a Marriott facility in a very long time and had sort of forgotten what I used to like about this chain. These positive points are still intact and now that I have rediscovered Marriott, I'll likely stay at this Hotel again when passing through the Montreal area. The room on the top floor was very roomy, the bed was comfortable, large windows facing the south (away from the Hwy 40 traffic noise)....overall, nothing to complain about. If you're concerned about the security of the parking lot, no worries, as the hotel does offer steering-wheel locks against a C$40 deposit.....and, if you'd like to keep this loss-prevention gadget the next morning....that's okay, the hotel will simply retain the deposit (but add the mandatory sales tax to your bill)....meaning, you just bought the lock for future use at other places.

The price was reasonable, nice sized room, very clean room and pool area, spotless sauna, the hot tub was nice and hot, the lifeguard manning the place was super nice and trying to make sure everyone was comfortable and having fun. The service at the front desk and the girl at the Morgan 44 breakfast counter were all really great.

access is so easy with a huge parking lot in the back. We were quickly in the lobby to check-in fast and the staff was really nice. Hotel felt very safe as you need your room card to activate the elevator. Room was clean and pleasantly design. We will definitely go back.

Really nice hotel close to Montreal airport. Large clean rooms with comfortable beds. Restaurant in the hotel is OK in terms of food and very convenient as there is no other option in the area.
